DOCUMENT PREPARATION SERVICES

OUR PROCESS (Gather Information, Prepare, Sign, File & Serve)

First, we'll need to get a file started and gather basic information regarding your case and the parties involved using online questionnaires. This is the best way to gather your instructions. Click the "Start Here" button below to get a file started.

Once the contract is signed and payment is collected, draft documents will prepared per your instructions then presented to you for review and approval. If everything is satisfactory, the documents will signed, then filed with the court and serve by mail.

We charge a flat fee for services. Standard itemized services include:

CONVENIENT ACCESS

Electronic copies of the court endorsed documents filed are emailed to clients for easy access. So no need to stress if you misplace a document or wait in long lines at the courthouse to obtain another copy.

Document Preparation
The document preparation process for a typical legal matter, such as a divorce or motion for custody, usually constituents of a three phase process. 

1. Preparation, Review and Signing Documents:
Once a contract is signed payment is received, we will begin by preparing your documents based on the information contained within the questionnaire(s) and/or any additional supporting documentation provided.

Draft documents will be email to you for review and approval. If no revisions are needed, we will proceed by signing the documents. Documents may be signed either in the office or digitally .  

2. Court Filing:
Once the documents are signed, they will file the documents at the courthouse. Copies of the filed/endorsed documents will be return to you via email. Hard copies will be available for pick or can be mailed, whichever is more convenient for you.

3. Serving the Other Party:
Service by Mail is included with the document preparation service. If you wish to have the other party serve personally, we can also assist with this service at additional cost. Rates and fees are listed on the Process Service page.

If you prefer, someone you know can serve the documents on your behalf. The server must be over 18 and not one of the parties in the action.
